Liputan6.com, Jakarta - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) mencatat pertumbuhan jumlah investor pasar modal Indonesia mencapai lebih dari 50%. Di sisi lain, bursa masih menghadapi sejumlah tantangan, terutama terkait transparansi, kredibilitas, dan tata kelola yang menjadi perhatian penyedia indeks global.

Direktur Utama BEI Jeffrey Hendrik mengatakan, perkembangan pasar modal Indonesia masih menunjukkan kinerja positif. Hal ini tercermin dari kinerja fundamental perusahaan tercatat yang masih baik serta nilai transaksi harian yang tumbuh di atas 10%.

"Secara fundamental kinerja perusahaan tercatat di bursa masih baik. Nilai transaksi harian masih tumbuh di atas 10%. Jumlah investor kita tumbuh lebih dari 50%. Tetapi di sisi lain kita juga menghadapi tantangan di tahun ini,” kata Jeffrey dalam Opening Ceremony CMSE 2026, di Gedung BEI, Jakarta, Kamis (5/11/2026).

Namun, pertumbuhan tersebut perlu diimbangi dengan upaya memperkuat kualitas pasar modal agar semakin kredibel dan mampu menjaga kepercayaan investor.

Menurut dia, salah satu tantangan yang perlu menjadi perhatian adalah masukan dari penyedia indeks global mengenai transparansi, kredibilitas, dan tata kelola pasar modal Indonesia.

Jeffrey menegaskan, BEI bersama Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) dan Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) lainnya berkomitmen melakukan berbagai pembenahan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pasar modal nasional.

"Apa yang disampaikan oleh Global Index Provider terkait dengan transparansi, kredibilitas, dan tata kelola di pasar modal kita itu juga tentu sesuatu yang perlu kita perhatikan,” ujarnya.

BEI Perkuat Transparansi dan Pengawasan

Jeffrey menjelaskan, peningkatan transparansi menjadi salah satu fokus utama dalam pembenahan pasar modal Indonesia. Sejumlah langkah telah dilakukan, termasuk mengungkap informasi pemegang saham dengan kepemilikan di atas 1% serta menyediakan data investor yang lebih terperinci atau granular.

Ke depan, BEI akan terus meningkatkan kualitas keterbukaan informasi agar pelaku pasar memiliki akses yang lebih baik terhadap data yang relevan.

Selain transparansi, bursa juga berupaya meningkatkan efektivitas pengawasan perdagangan saham. Salah satu langkah yang disiapkan adalah penerapan pengawasan melalui sistem real time flagging apabila ditemukan indikasi pelanggaran dalam perdagangan di bursa.

Di samping transparansi dan pengawasan, BEI juga berupaya meningkatkan likuiditas melalui pendalaman pasar, baik dari sisi permintaan maupun penawaran. Bursa turut mendorong pembentukan harga atau price discovery yang lebih baik agar perdagangan saham berlangsung secara lebih sehat.

"Ke depan akan masih banyak tantangan yang akan kita hadapi. Tetapi kalau kita punya komitmen yang sama untuk terus menjaga dan mengembangkan pasar modal kita, InsyaAllah seluruh tantangan itu bisa kita hadapi bersama,” pungkasnya.
