Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Permintaan perhiasan emas dunia mengalami penurunan tajam pada kuartal III 2026. Harga emas yang masih tinggi membuat konsumen di berbagai negara lebih berhati-hati dalam membeli perhiasan.

World Gold Council (WGC) mencatat konsumsi perhiasan emas global mencapai 312,9 ton pada periode Juli-September 2026. Jumlah tersebut turun 17 persen dibandingkan kuartal III 2025 yang mencapai 376,4 ton.

Mengutip laporan WGC, Minggu (8/11/2026), angka capaian tersebut menjadi konsumsi perhiasan emas terlemah untuk periode kuartal III sepanjang seri data mereka.

Meski volume pembelian turun, nilai permintaan perhiasan emas dunia justru meningkat 2 persen secara tahunan menjadi US$ 43 miliar.

Perbedaan antara volume dan nilai tersebut memperlihatkan pengaruh kenaikan harga emas terhadap belanja konsumen.

Dengan harga yang lebih tinggi, konsumen mengeluarkan nilai uang lebih besar meskipun jumlah emas yang dibeli lebih sedikit.

WGC menjelaskan, harga emas yang tinggi menjadi faktor utama yang membatasi permintaan perhiasan pada kuartal III 2026. Konsumen di berbagai pasar cenderung memilih perhiasan dengan bobot lebih ringan atau kadar emas lebih rendah agar tetap dapat membeli sesuai kemampuan.

Pelemahan permintaan terjadi secara luas di berbagai kawasan. China dan India menjadi dua negara yang menyumbang bagian besar terhadap penurunan volume konsumsi perhiasan emas global.

Di kawasan ASEAN, permintaan perhiasan juga masih lemah. WGC mencatat konsumen Indonesia tetap berhati-hati di tengah kondisi ekonomi yang menantang. Situasi serupa terlihat di Malaysia.

WGC memperkirakan volume permintaan perhiasan emas masih akan menghadapi tekanan selama harga emas bertahan tinggi. Keterjangkauan harga menjadi tantangan bagi konsumen, sehingga pembelian perhiasan kemungkinan tetap menyesuaikan kemampuan belanja.

Dengan demikian, tingginya harga emas tidak hanya memengaruhi keputusan investor, tetapi juga mengubah pola konsumsi masyarakat terhadap produk perhiasan.
